What renewPeriod means

renewPeriod means the registrar renewed the domain recently and it is in the renew grace period, typically 5 days for gTLDs. In RDAP it appears as renew period.

Like the other grace periods of the Registry Grace Period extension (RFC 3915), it is a billing arrangement: if the registrar deletes the domain during this period, the registry credits the renewal fee back to the registrar.

The status confirms that a renewal reached the registry and that the expiration date has been extended. It disappears on its own when the period ends.
